This is the replication package for "The Effect of Husbandry System Information on Consumer Willingness to Pay for Dairy Products from Cow-Calf-Contact Systems" authored by Reinhard Uehleke (University of Göttingen), Jeanette Klink-Lehmnann (University of Bonn), Silke Hüttel (University of Göttingen).
Data collection:
Participants were recruited via Bilendi, a survey recruitment provider operating in several EU countries, between July-01 and July-08, 2022, with a pre-test involving 146 respondents conducted between June-24 and June-28, 2022. Recruitment was conducted through the Mafo Institute, which used quotas reflecting the overall population in Germany based on age (18 to 69 years), gender, and education level. These quotas were determined using the latest available socio-demographic data from EUROSTAT database. Further, survey participants had to be at least partially responsible for grocery shopping in their household and have purchased milk products at least once in the last four weeks before taking the survey. Participants were incentivized by the recruitment provider based on the estimated 12-minute completion time of the survey, receiving 60 points that could be redeemed for €0.60 in cash, donated to charities, or exchanged for gift vouchers. File "fully survey_translated_CCC.pdf" give the full survey.
We provide 2 additional file for replication:
File "Replication do file for results_CCC.txt" gives the do-file for stata (last run with version XXX) and replicates all results. It is stored as txt to ensure access for non-stata users.
File "CCC_aug.dta" gives the stata-data file, where file "CCC_aug.csv" gives a csv file to ensure access for non-stata users.
