1) Folder Structure The folder 01_Data contains all datasets (some in Excel, some in csv files) that are necessary for the computations. The folder 02_Scripts contains all Stata do-files that are necessary to replicate the results of the paper. The folder 03_Outputs contains the output files (Tables with regression results and log files).
2) Details on the Stata code The three scripts are commented such that users can follow the code easily. To run the code on a different machine, the user simply needs to change one line of code in each of the three files: capture cd "/Users/maxamb/Dropbox/WHU/COVID Success/"
The three scripts in the folder 02_Scripts do the following:
000_DataTransformation.do In this file, we load the RKI covid data and create datasets of COVID-19 cases and deaths on a county-level.
001_models_crossSection.do Here, we create the cross-sectional models as of November 30, 2021. The results are displayed in Table 1 of the paper.
002_models_timeSeries.do Here, we create the panel data models for Table 2 in the paper.
