prepares the data for analysis. Specifically, in this do-file, sectors are reclassified to a consistent sector classification (NACE Rev. 2) and emissions are calculated from energy consumption numbers. Additionally, fossil fuel consumption is corrected for the occurrence of conversion losses. Plants with implausible reporting are dropped, and price indices merged.
