a matter of values: on the link between economic performance and schwartz human values

The European Social Survey data from the 9th round is used. The original source file ESS9e02.dta is available on the ESS website.

The following files are attached: data_econometric.csv This file contains the European Social Survey 9th round data used for the initial econometric analysis and derivation of the stylised facts.

populations.csv The file contains the synthetic population used for the simulation purposes.

Parameters.csv The file contains different parameter sets used in the simulation

The JAVA code and other simulation related files are available at: Marcin Czupryna (2024, June 23). “A Matter of Values: On The Link between Economic Performance and Schwartz Human Values” (Version 1.0.0). CoMSES Computational Model Library. The macroeconomic (validation) files:

gdp.csv The file contains GDP per person employed (constant 2017 PPP USD) time series from the World Bank World Development Indicators database https://databank.worldbank.org/source/world-development-indicator

inequality.csv The file contains Gini coefficient (2017 gross income, before taxes) for the working–age population from the OECD database https://stats.oecd.org/Index.aspx?DataSetCode=IDD

The simulations’ results files:

all_corelations.csv The file contains the correlation coefficients between Schwartz higher order values and main economic outputs’ variables.

gini.csv The file contains the average values and Gini coefficients of the simulated main economic output variables.

And for the stressed scenarios:

stressed_scenarios.cvs The file contains different stressed scenarios used in the simulations.

gini_stressed.csv The file contains the average values and Gini coefficients of the simulated main economic output variables (stressed scenarios).
